NEWPORT, RI, January 5, 2012 – The Newport Skating Center, located at the Newport Yachting Center on America’s Cup Avenue in downtown Newport, has enjoyed a hard sheet of ice for close to a week and is now gliding towards its “Give Back Day”, this Saturday, January 7th from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. The celebration of community for all skaters and watchers will include coat and blood drives and a $1.00 match donation to benefit the Special Olympics.
